Take part in a traditional Japanese festival in the middle of one of the most unconventional areas of Tokyo.
What happens?
Kabukichō is known for lights, action, entertainment, and a few naughty pastimes as well. But this year, the summer tradition of Bon Odori — a festival where groups dance around in a circle — will make its way into the heart of Shinjuku. If you don’t know how to dance, then no worries, there will be a teacher there to instruct the crowd.
Schedule
The dancing will start at 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. But this is Kabukichō, so you can expect the revelry to go on long into the night.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.Mid
