One of the most Christmassy Christmas markets out there, this event is the real deal. For 2023, it will be held at Meiji Jingu Gaien.
What happens?
Sponsored by the German Embassy and the German Tourism Association, you can expect plenty of delicious food and German-themed gift ideas, as well as some warming wines. There will be live music to fill you with Christmas spirit as you browse and all the bright lights and Christmas trees you could hope for.
Tickets
There will be some tickets available on the day, but this is a popular event, so advanced reservations are recommended. Tickets until December 22 are ¥1,000 on weekdays and ¥1,500 on weekends. Children cost ¥500 and under fives get in for free.
If you go between December 23 and December 25, it will be ¥2,000 for adults and ¥1,000 for children.
You will also get a free mug that you can use when purchasing hot drinks!
The first day will begin at 4 p.m. instead of the usual 11 a.m.
