Tokyo Auto Salon, one of the biggest motor shows in the world, is coming back to Makuhari Messe and will showcase modified and tuned cars.
What happens?
Think MTV’s Pimp My Ride, but more luxurious. The event isn’t exactly Cheapo, but it’s a must-see if you’re really into cars/things you’ll never be able to afford. The event might not hit the insane visitor numbers as before (as high as 300,000) but you can still expect big crowds.
Tickets and entry
The whole of the first day (January 12) is open to industry and media only, but the general public will be allowed for a special viewing from 2 p.m. (costing ¥4,000).
Saturday and Sunday are both public entry days with advance tickets costing a flat ¥3,000. There may be same-day ticket sales at the venue, but this isn’t guaranteed, so get your tickets in advance.
Bonus: All about auto? Join a Tokyo Drifting Tour for a special experience.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.-
