Combine bean-throwing at Setsubun with a dance to honor the Seven Lucky Gods.
What happens?
This event is the ultimate in warding off ill fortune for the year and takes place at Asakusa’s Sensōji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo. Beans will be thrown — usually by local celebrities — from a stage just in front of the iconic temple at noon and there will be a “Dance of the Seven Lucky Gods”.
Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
