Japan International Orchid and Flower Show

¥1,300 – ¥1,900

Orchids are an important symbol to many Japanese gardeners and flower fans. This February, you can see their beauty in person at the Japan International Orchid and Flower Show.

What happens?

Held over a week, the Japan International Orchid and Flower Show is a mix of exhibitions, contests, and markets. Visitors can experience an array of beautifully arranged floral artwork from the moment they walk in — go through the Orchid Gate, a display made from 100,000 orchids, and an ideal selfie spot.

Other exhibitions include the Sky Garden, a vertical display 4 meters tall, and the Fantasy Orchid Night, flowers placed against a backdrop of the night sky.

As part of the contest, a panel of judges will decide on the best orchid, and it will receive the title of 2024 Japan Grand Prize Flower. Or, if you want to see your name on stage next year, dip into the market area where you can buy gardening supplies and unique orchid planting kits.

Tickets

There are several types of tickets for the event, depending on when you arrive or if you’d like any extras. The basic entry-only advance ticket costs ¥1,900, or ¥1,300 if you arrive after 5 p.m. You can also buy them at the door, but we recommend buying online to avoid queues.

Note: On the final Wednesday of the exhibition, the hall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
