Rang Barse Tokyo Holi

10:00am – 4:00pm
Free

Away from home, a group of volunteers under the banner Holi Mela Committee has started organizing the Festival of Colors (Holi) in Nishi-Kasai.

This event is usually held on the weekend closest to Holi (for 2024 Holi is March 25).

What happens?

Holi is one of the most important festivals in the Hindu calendar. It is popularly known as the “Festival of Colors” and is a major festival across the world.

Celebrants welcome the beginning of spring with bonfires and smearing different colors on the body. Each color represents a meaning: red symbolizes love and fertility; yellow is the color of turmeric, considered a most powerful natural remedy that also represents auspiciousness; blue represents the Hindu God Krishna; and green is for new beginnings.

This festival will uphold tradition and include a vibrant mix of food, music, dancing, and, of course, lots of colors. Colors will be available at the site, so turn up in white and be prepared to get colorful.

How to get there

This year, the event will be held at Rainbow Plaza in Nishikasai.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
