South Korean drama sensation turned singer IU is coming to Japan in March and July, during the H.E.R World Tour. She will be performing for two days in Yokohama in March, before returning to Osaka for two more days in July.

Tickets

Tickets are a flat ¥15,000 for all seats, and they’re distributed through a lottery system, so get in early! Her Yokohama show is currently sold out, but tickets for her Osaka show are yet to go on sale.

Unfortunately, resale tickets are strictly prohibited at these shows. Tickets from unauthorized resale websites like Viagogo won’t be accepted and holders won’t be allowed in.

Tickets come in two tiers, with A tier at ¥11,000. If you’re a megafan, you can grab a premium S-tier seat for ¥13,000. However, tickets are sold on a separate platform for people outside of Japan.

Baekhyun

One of K-pop group EXO’s most talented vocalists, Baekhyun is now going it alone on his Lonsdaleite Asia Tour. He’ll be all over the country melting hearts during March, April, and May.

Regular seats for Baekhyun’s performances are ¥12,000. However, if you’re interested in a few perks, you can pay ¥6,000 more to upgrade to a VIP seat, for a total of ¥18,000. The VIP seats come with express entry, great views, and a photocard for your collection.

Iron Maiden

Iron Maiden have been one of the biggest names in metal for years, and they’re coming to Japan for The Future Past Tour. While they’re here, they’ll be putting on five shows across four venues from September 22–29.

Tickets

You can grab tickets from the official tour page, although the Tokyo and final Kanagawa performances have already sold out. Tickets are ¥18,000 for a reserved seat, or ¥30,000 to stand at the front of the stage area.

There has been no official announcement of an approved resale website. It’s likely that while tickets are still available, there will be no authorized resales allowed.

Seventeen

May 18–19 and 25–26, 2024

K-pop boy band Seventeen will be back in Japan for their Follow to Japan Tour. They’ll be playing two dates in two venues, May 18–19 in Osaka and May 25–26 in Kanagawa.

Tickets

Currently, tickets are only available to Caratmobile (Seventeen’s fan club) members. Once the lottery for those seats has finished, the tickets will be released for general sale. Premium seats at ¥27,000 are only available to Caratmobile members, so all general sales will be for the basic reserved seating at ¥15,000.

If you’re in the Caratmobile fan club, there’s a ticket resale service built in. If another member can’t make it, they can sell their ticket to you for the face price. However, apart from that, ticket resale is strictly prohibited and you won’t be allowed in if you have a resold ticket.

ITZY

One of Korea’s most popular K-pop girl groups, ITZY, will be stopping in Japan on their Born To Be world tour. If you’re in love with their vocals and dancing, don’t miss their shows in Tokyo and Osaka in May.

Tickets are a little complicated, but the gist of it is that you’ll need to register to the ITZY ticket board to be able to buy a ticket. When you’ve decided which performances you want to see, you’ll enter a lottery for tickets to those shows. Seats will be randomly allocated, so the price is a flat ¥13,000.

You will be asked to show your ID when entering the venue, so resale is prohibited.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

If they were a part of your childhood soundtrack, you’ll enjoy seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Tokyo for their Unlimited Love Tour. They’ll be rocking those classic beats on May 18 and May 20 at the Tokyo Dome.

Tickets

Both concerts start at ¥9,800 for the cheapest seats and go up through better seating, before reaching the mega VIP SS package for ¥128,000. Currently the 18th is sold out, but seats are still available for the 20th.

Beat the heat and jam with the beats at Japan’s biggest summer music festival — Summer Sonic. A two-day music festival held simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka, the headliners are big names from both Japan and abroad.

Tickets run from ¥19,000 for a one-day ticket to ¥36,000 for both days. If you’re looking for VIP treatment, there’s also the Platinum Ticket at ¥33,000 per day, which comes with exclusive perks for your comfort.

Ticket resales are forbidden by Summer Sonic management, although third-party sites may still offer resale tickets.

Sonicmania

Considered to be the warm-up party to Summer Sonic, Sonicmania will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on August 18. With some less well-known but exciting names on the line, such as British band Underworld, it’s a great start to a weekend of vibing. Tickets start at ¥15,000, or ¥23,000 for the Platinum Ticket.

Fuji Rock

Rain or shine, the Naeba Ski Resort will tear the house down with Fuji Rock, one of Japan’s biggest music festivals. Mostly held outdoors, you’ll get to see the techno-pop headliners Kraftwerk live amongst a crowd of over 100,000 – mosh pit anyone?

Tickets

Fuji Rock is notorious for its expensive tickets, but you can save a few yen if you know how. If you only want to dip your toes in, a one-day Friday ticket will set you back ¥16,000. However, for the full three-day experience, expect to pay ¥52,500 if you can sneak into the early sales, or ¥60,000 at general sale.

Ticket resales through unauthorized resellers are banned at Fuji Rock. An official reseller may be announced in the future.
