International Tokyo Toy Show (June 3-4): This is no boring trade show—this is the perfect family-friendly event with entertainment for the kids, including appearances from various characters , as well as a “kid’s park” with toys (of course) and activities. Free entry.

Eco Life Fair 2017 (June 3-4): In tandem with World Environment Day, Yoyogi Park is hosting the Eco Life Fair where you can learn about leading an eco-friendly lifestyle, buy organic goods and have some “eco food” from the outdoor food court. And for a bit of entertainment, the events square will have a lineup of idol groups performing.

Spectrum Series Presents: Off the Page (June 4): Off the Page is an art event that will gather some of Tokyo’s finest for acoustic music performances, spoken word poetry, photo galleries and a panel with a group of individuals from the Tokyo music scene. It all goes down at Infinity Books in Asakusa.

Museum of Modern Art – Free Admission Day (June 4): The MOMA houses mainly Japanese works of the 20th Century including a number deemed ‘Important Cultural Properties’ or masterpieces—see it all for free this Sunday.

Katsushika Iris Festival (May 30-June 18): In northwest Tokyo, see 14,000 iris flowers at Mizumoto Park and 6,000 more at Hirikiri Shobuen Garden. There will be music performances and other entertainment to accompany your floral stroll—the perfect event for a sunny weekend.
